Summary 

The Bangladesh EPI Coverage Evaluation Surveys (EPI CES) measure the effect of the Expanded Programme on Immunization (EPI) on vaccination coverage in Bangladesh. The 2011 Bangladesh EPI CES provides estimates of vaccination coverage for 64 districts, 6 City Corporations and 2 slums.

For the 2011 EPI CES, five surveys on immunization were conducted:

  • Childhood Vaccination Coverage Survey of children between 12 and 23 months
  • Tetanus Toxoid Vaccination Coverage Survey of mothers with children age 0-11 months and women age 18-49
  • Polio Vaccine (OPV) Coverage Survey for children age 0-59 months
  • Vitamin A Coverage Survey for children age 0-59 months
  • Anthelmintic Coverage Survey of children age 24-59 months
