Turkey Disability Survey 2002

This purpose of this survey was to measure the number of disabled people in Turkey, along with types and causes of disability, socioeconomic characteristics, and social issues faced by disabled people. The sample unit was households, selected through single-stage stratified cluster sampling. The survey tools were two questionnaires: a household questionnaire for all members of the household, and a disabled person questionnaire. The latter questionnaire was for individuals, identified through the household questionnaire, with orthopedic, visual, hearing, speaking, or mental disabilities. The questionnaires were administered in 97,433 households.
