Conducted by Jordan's Department of Statistics, the 1999 Jordan Annual Fertility Survey (JAFS) used a nationally representative sample of 7,200 households. From this, 5,144 ever-married women ages 15-49 were interviewed. The JAFS was a "rider" on the 1999 Employment and Unemployment Survey, and was intended to collect information and produced estimates on key reproductive health indicators, such as fertility, family planning, and infant mortality.
