Mexico National Addiction Survey 2002
General Info
A collaboration between the Ministry of Health and the National Institute of Statistics, Geography, and Informatics, the purpose of this survey was to investigate the consumption of alcohol, tobacco, and medicinal and illicit drugs. The survey was nationally representative and respondents were 12-65 years of age. Demographic and household characteristics captured included age, sex, family composition, education, housing conditions and employment type.
There were three previous nationally-representative surveys of this type done in 1988, 1994 and 1998. A subnational survey was done in 1974.
