Summary
National health accounts (NHA) constitute a systematic monitoring of the resource flows in a country's health care system, helping to inform the evaluation of health care policy.
This first estimation of financial flows and expenditures on HIV/AIDS-related activities in Argentina was executed through the FUNSALUD project, Health Systems and National AIDS Accounts in Latin America. The report contains a summary of the health care system in Argentina, the status of AIDS epidemiology, the role of the public sector in AIDS prevention, current legislation, financial flow and expenditure estimates, and the methodology used to calculate these numbers.
