Argentina Health Care Utilization and Expenditure Survey 2005
General Info
The 2005 survey was the second national survey to capture data on health care use, coverage, and expenditures. The first survey was in 2003.
The sample was 1546 individuals of all ages. Questions about those 18 and younger were answered by an adult proxy. Participants were surveyed about specific details of health care use including the reason for visiting a health facility, the type of facility visited, the amount paid for the visit, and the type of insurance or financial assistance applied. Additionally, respondents answered questions about medications, conditions, proximity of health facilities, opinions on the health care system, and socioeconomic status.
A report on the results of the survey is available as part of the Directorate of Health Statistics and Information's series of publications based on the health statistics system (series 10, no.20).
