United States National Survey of Family Growth 1982
General Info
Based on a nationally representative sample of 7,969 women 15-44 years of age, the 1982 National Survey of Family Growth produced estimates concerning: factors affecting pregnancy (including sexual activity, contraceptive use, and infertility); the medical care associated with contraception, infertility, and childbirth; marriage, divorce, and cohabitation; adoption and care of non-biological children; attitudes about sex, childbearing, and marriage.
The 1982 NSFG was the third cycle of the survey. Interviews were conducted in person by female interviewers.
