United States National Survey of Family Growth 1988
General Info
Based on a nationally representative sample of 8,450 women 15-44 years of age, the 1988 National Survey of Family Growth produced estimates concerning: factors affecting pregnancy (including sexual activity, contraceptive use, and infertility); the medical care associated with contraception, infertility, and childbirth; marriage, divorce, cohabitation; adoption and care of non-biological children; men's and women's attitudes about sex, childbearing, and marriage.
The 1988 NSFG was the fourth cycle of the survey. Interviews were conducted in person by female interviewers.
