Thailand Population and Housing Census 1980 - IPUMS
General Info
Censuses provide population numbers, household or family size and composition, and information on sex and age distribution. They often include other demographic, economic and health-related topics as well. The 1980 Thailand de jure census collected data through face-to-face interviews on the subjects of housing, household demographics, employment for those 12 and older, education, disability, contraceptive use, and fertility for women 11 and older. Long forms and short forms were used to collect the data. The census day was April 1, 1980, and fieldwork continued until the end of the month. A 1% differentially weighted sample of households from the long form sample (388,141 individuals) is available through IPUMS International at the University of Minnesota. Dwellings and vacant units are not identified in the microdata. Refer to the IPUMS website for guidelines on citing database versions.
