Rwanda Population and Housing Census 2002 - IPUMS
General Info
Censuses provide population numbers, household or family size and composition, and information on sex and age distribution. They often include other demographic, economic and health-related topics as well. The 2002 Rwanda de facto and de jure census collected data through face-to-face interviews on the subjects of housing, household demographics, employment for those 6 and older, education, migration, disability, and fertility for women 12 and older. The census day was from the night of August 15 to the night of August 16, 2002 and fieldwork continued until August 30. A 10% sample from the census (843,392 individuals) is available through IPUMS International at the University of Minnesota. The sample unit is dwellings for private dwellings and persons for collective dwellings. Refer to the IPUMS website for guidelines on citing database versions.
