Philippines Population and Housing Census 2000 - IPUMS
General Info
Censuses provide population numbers, household or family size and composition, and information on sex and age distribution. They often include other demographic, economic and health-related topics as well. The 2000 Philippines de jure census collected data through face-to-face interviews on subjects of housing, household demographics, education, migration, disability, employment for those 10 and older, and fertility for women age 15-49. A Common Household Questionnaire (CHP 2) was used to enumerate the majority of the population and a longer Sample Household Questionnaire (CPH 3) was used to enumerate a sample of the population. A separate form (CPH 4) was administered to institutional populations. The census day was May 1, 2000. A 10% differentially weighted sample of households (7,417,810 individuals) is available through IPUMS International at the University of Minnesota. Refer to the IPUMS website for guidelines on citing database versions.
