United States Teenage Attitudes and Practices Survey 1993

The 1993 Teenage Attitudes and Practice Survey (TAPS) was a follow-up study to the 1993 National Health Interview Survey (NHIS). The primary method of data collection in the 1993 TAPS was computer assisted telephone interviewing. A sample component in the 1993 TAPS was comprised of persons from the 1988-1989 TAPS aged 12-18 years on November 1, 1989. Individuals in the sample who could not be contacted by telephone were contacted in person. Topics covered in the 1993 TAPS included family relations, tobacco use, and other health behaviors.
