United States Teenage Attitudes and Practices Survey 1988-1989
General Info
The Teenage Attitudes and Practice Survey (TAPS) was a follow-up study to the National Health Interview Survey (NHIS). A sample of 12,097 teenagers ages 12-18 was drawn from the last two quarters of the 1988 NHIS and the first two quarters of the 1989 NHIS to obtain information on tobacco use, illicit drug use, sexual behavior, and other health behaviors among adolescents. The survey used computer assisted telephone interviewing for data collection and also included a mail component.
