Mali General Population and Housing Census 1987 - IPUMS
General Info
Censuses provide population numbers, household or family size and composition, and information on sex and age distribution. They often include other demographic, economic and health-related topics as well. The 1987 Mali de facto and de jure census collected data through face-to-face interviews on the subjects of housing, household demographics, employment and education for those 6 and older, fertility for women 12 and older, and household deaths. The census day was April 14, 1987. A 10% sample of households from the census (785,384 individuals) is available through IPUMS International at the University of Minnesota. Dwellings, vacant units, and group quarters are not identified in the microdata sample. Refer to the IPUMS website for guidelines on citing database versions.
