Summary
The Kenya Standardized Monitoring and Assessment in Relief and Transition (SMART) surveys were conducted to assess malnutrition prevalence in children ages 6-59 months. Data were collected on mortality, anthropometry, vitamin A supplements, maternal health care, and food consumption.
For the 2011 survey in Marsabit county, household interviews were conducted in May of that year using a two-stage cluster sampling method. A household sample of 672 households and a sample size of 655 children were determined.
