Summary
The Belgium Health Interview Survey 2008 collected health information from about 10,000 individuals across Belgium. The survey was subnationally representative for all three regions and their provinces, with the sample split nearly equally between regions: Flanders (3,500 participants), Brussels (3,000 participants), and Wallonia (3,500 participants). Two questionnaires were used: a face-to-face interview questionnaire, and a self-completed questionnaire; household information was also collected at the time of the face-to-face interview. The sample was drawn from the National Population Register; all households were eligible except for those living in institutions.
