The purpose of the Cameroon Adolescent Reproductive Health Project was to compare two quantitative studies that had been conducted on adolescents, one before and one after the implementation of a program to promote lower-risk sexual behavior (the Social Marketing Program in Cameroon). Topics included sexual behavior, contraceptive use, and health literacy.
Both studies were carried out in the cities of Douala and Yaoundé, the first in 2000 and the second in 2002. A total of 2,098 individuals ages 15-24 participated in the 2000 study and 3,536 participated in the 2002 study.
