The Comprehensive Food Security and Nutrition Survey (CFSNS) conducted in 2010 assessed the levels of household food security and malnutrition among children ages 0-5 and women ages 15-49. The assessment also investigated food insecure geographic areas and socioeconomic groups in conjunction with crop production, livestock, and fisheries.
Data were collected at the household and individual level. The questionnaires included modules on demographics, education, labor migration, housing and facilities, agriculture, income, household expenditures, maternal and child health, nutrition, and child feeding practices. Additional data were collected at the community level from key informants regarding community assets, demographics, infrastructures, and availability and accessibility of services.
A total of 8,002 households from 400 enumeration areas were interviewed and anthropometric measurements from 7,586 children and mothers.
