Summary
The 2015 Census of Population and Housing in Laos was conducted by the Statistics Bureau and was the fourth census conducted in the country. It was completed via in-person interview by census enumerators, and the questionnaire covered the main demographic and socioeconomic indicators of all members per household visited. One difficulty in the census was the non-use of geographic maps and GPS systems during the enumeration process. Boundaries could not be identified, and enumerators in some areas could not locate assigned households to interview. The total population of Laos was enumerated at 6,492,228.
