Jamaica Survey of Living Conditions 2012
General Info
The 2012 Jamaica Survey of Living Conditions (JSLC) collected data to provide information for policy development for the Jamaican government. A total of 6,579 individuals from non-institutional dwellings participated. The sample was a randomized sub-set of approximately one-third of the previous Labour Force survey (LFS) in an effort to provide data linkage between survey series. The questionnaire covered topics such as demographics, education, housing, social welfare, health, and expenditures. The 2012 effort included an additional module on elderly persons aged 60 years and above, and covered topics such as employment, social participation, retirement, and economic security.
