General Info
This interview study, authored by Li Shi, attempts to measure and estimate the income distribution in rural and urban areas of the People's Republic of China in 2002. Data were collected through coded on-site observation and face-to-face interview, and in ten sets—for individuals and households in rural and urban areas (4 sets), for economic variables among individuals and households in urban and rural areas (2 sets), for individuals and households of rural-urban migrants (2 sets), for villages (1 set), and for rural school-age children (1 set). Previous similar surveys were conducted in 1989 and 1995.
