Summary
The 2007 National Vital Statistics Report on birth data in the United States presents data from birth certificates based on a variety of maternal health and demographic characteristics, along with infant health characteristics as well. The data include birth order, maternal age, race, ethnicity, marital status, gestational period, multiple and preterm births, birthweight, attendant at birth, place and method of delivery. A total of 4,316,233 births were registered in the United States in 2007.
