Malaysia National Health and Morbidity Survey 2011
General Info
The 2011 Malaysia National Health and Morbidity Survey covered topics such as health care use and costs, non-communicable diseases, nutritional status, mental health, and injuries. Face-to-face interviews and self-administered questionnaires were used to collect information. The questionnaires were carried out for households, individuals 13 years and older and individuals below 13 years of age. Two self-administered questionnaires included an alcohol use module for individuals 13 years and older and a mental health module for children between five and 15 years of age. The self-administered questionnaires were available in four languages: Bahasa, English, Mandarin, and Tamil. In addition to the interviews, research teams measured blood pressure, and tested blood glucose and cholesterol levels in participants. A report is available for download on the Institute for Public Health website.
