Summary
Commissioned by the Department of Health and the Bermuda Health Council, the Bermuda Adults Health Survey 2011 collected information on health behaviors and perceptions of healthcare from 801 Bermuda residents ages 18 years and older. Data was collected through a phone-administered questionnaire that integrated questions from previous studies and other population-based health surveys, including the WHO STEPS instrument. The survey covered multiple topics including access to healthcare treatment and facilities, and disease-specific and behavioral factors. Data was analyzed taking into consideration variables such as race, age, gender, household type, education, and income level.
