Summary
The purpose of the Chennai Urban Rural Epidemiology Survey (CURES) was to assess the presence of diabetes and diabetes-related disease in the Chennai population. The data were collected through in-home interviews and anthropometric measurements. Blood pressure, height, weight, hip, and mid-arm measurements were taken. Survey workers also collected blood samples for cholesterol, fasting blood glucose.
