Summary
The purpose of the Jaipur Heart Watch Study (JHWS) study was to gather data in order to assess correlations between socioeconomic factors and the prevalence of coronary heart disease in urban and rural areas of Rajasthan. The data were collected through anthropometric measurements, blood glucose samples, blood cholesterol samples, blood glucose samples, blood pressure, EKG measurements, and interviews led by physicians. The target population was adults ages 20 years and older.
