Nepal National Headache Survey 2013
General Info
The purpose of this survey was to determine the prevalence of headaches and migraines and to explore the sociodemographic backgrounds of sufferers. The study collected data through in-home interviews given by healthcare employees. In each household, one person between the ages of 18-65 years was selected for the interview.
The interview contained several different sections that asked about sociodemographic background and headache symptoms. These sections included parts of the Headache-Attributed Restriction, Disability, Social Handicap and Impaired Participation (HARDSHIP) questionnaire, the Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS), and the Eysenck Personality Questionnaire-Neuroticism (EPQ-N). Blood pressure, height, and weight were recorded. The altitude of the house was also measured. The sample size for this study was 2,100 individuals.
