Ethiopia Population and Housing Census 2007 - IPUMS
General Info
Censuses provide population numbers, household or family size and composition, and information on sex and age distribution. They often include other demographic, economic, and health-related topics as well. The 2007 Ethiopia Population and Housing Census collected data through face-to-face interviews. The census day was March 28, 2007 for all regions except Afar and Somali which were enumerated November 28, 2007. A short form and long form questionaire were used, the sample includes data from both. Only one-fifth of households received the long questionnaire, and only 20% of the population have responses for most variables. A 10% sample fraction of households from the census (7,434,086 individuals) is available through IPUMS International at the University of Minnesota. Refer to the IPUMS website for guidelines on citing database versions.
