Turkey Demographic and Health Survey 2013-2014

The purpose of this survey was to gather data at the household level in order to formulate national indicators related to demographics, fertility, child mortality, maternal health, and nutritional status of women and children. The data were collected through in-person interviews in the home. The survey included questionnaires for the household and for individuals. Women aged 15 through 49 years were asked a specific set of questions on fertility related topics. Measurements of height and weight were taken from mothers and children. The survey was based on the international Macro DHS model questionnaires and those used in previous Turkish health surveys. For the 2013-2014 Turkey Demographic and Health Survey, 9,746 women aged 15-49 were successfully interviewed from 11,794 households.
