Summary
This report is a review of the Central Bank of Nigeria’s (CBN) activities for 2006. Part one of this report covers the corporate operations of the CBN. Part two of the report examines the overall activities of Nigeria’s financial sector. It includes high level figures for recurrent and capital expenditures such as health care, education, government administration, and transportation and communications infrastructure at both the national and state levels. The monetary values of the figures are in billions of Naira. Appendices include balance sheets and other data including prices in both rural and urban markets and summaries of local government finances.
