Summary
The Global Adult Tobacco Survey (GATS) is designed to produce national and subnational estimates on tobacco use. The survey in Turkey covered noninstitutional individuals ages 15 years and older, living in households. Communities with a population of less than 200 were not covered. The survey featured questions on smoking and smokeless tobacco use, cessation, secondhand smoke, economics, media, and knowledge, attitude, and perceptions.
