Cameroon Demographic and Health Survey 2011
General Info
The 2011 Cameroon Special Demographic and Health Survey is a DHS supplemented with questions from the Multiple Indicator Cluster Survey. The survey used a national sample of 14,214 households, with subsamples of 15,426 women (aged 15 to 49) and 7,191 (aged 15 to 59) men. Three questionnaires were used during the survey: a household questionnaire, and individual women's questionnaire, and an individual men's questionnaire. All individual men and women selected for these subsamples were eligible for HIV tests. Among households not selected for the individual men's questionnaire, all women and children 6-59 months old were tested for anemia and had an assessment of nutritional status, with children also eligible for malaria testing.
The survey covered topics such as iodine salt test, malaria tests, HIV testing, child discipline, birth registration, pregnancy history, domestic violence, male circumcision, and tobacco use.
