Summary
The 2011 Cook Islands Census of Population and Housing was administered by the Statistics Office, and was the ninth census to be conducted in the associated state. In-person enumeration was used, and the questionnaire covered various demographic and socioeconomic characteristics of all residents. In total, 4,499 households were enumerated, including both private and non-private. The total population of Cook Islands was enumerated at 17,794, which was a decrease of 1,315 persons since the last census in 2006.
