India Annual Health Survey 2012-2013
General Info
The Annual Health Survey 2012-2013 is the third round of a three-year, longitudinal, demographic survey of nine high-focus states: Assam, Bihar, Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, and Rajasthan. This final round of the AHS covered 4.32 million households and 20.94 million individuals from the 284 districts in these nine states. The recall period for the second update was January 1, 2011 through December 31, 2011.
In an effort to create a district health profile and to track district-level interventions over time, the AHS provides annual data on vital and health indicators at the district level, including fertility, mortality, disabilities, injuries, illness, access to family planning services, and maternal and child healthcare.
