Ireland Longitudinal Study on Ageing 2012-2013
General Info
The Irish Longitudinal Study on Ageing (TILDA) was designed to collect information over time on older adults and ageing in Ireland. The second wave, conducted in 2012-2013, collected detailed social, economic, and health information from 7,610 TILDA respondents originally surveyed in Wave 1. Two measures were used to collect information from all respondents: a computer-assisted personal interview (CAPI) and a self-completion questionnaire. A full health assessment was not included in Wave 2, though the CAPI included Mini Mental State Examination (MMSE), grip strength, and timed up and go (TUG) measures.
The first wave of TILDA was conducted in 2009-2011, and included a full health examination in addition to the CAPI and self-completion questionnaires.
