Ghana District Multiple Indicator Cluster Survey 2007-2008

The Ghana District Multiple Indicator Cluster Survey (MICS) 2007-2008, also called the High Impact Rapid Delivery (HIRD) Supplementary Survey, 2007/2008, was conducted as part of the 3rd round of MICS; an international survey initiative to monitor the situation of children and women. MICS provides data for tracking progress toward Millennium Development Goals (MDGS), particularly those related to health, education and mortality. As a HIRD Supplementary Survey, the 2007-2008 Ghana MICS also provides baseline data on the implementation of the HIRD approach. The Ghana 2007-2008 District MICS provides data at the district and regional level from the Central, Northern, Upper East and Upper West regions of Ghana. 11,174 women age 15-49 from 12,187 households were successfully interviewed. 8,457 questionnaires for children under five years of age were completed. No men were interviewed for this survey.
