Summary
This survey was the first of three rounds of the Greater Eldoret Health and Development Survey. In this fround, 823 households were visited and 1,217 adults and 367 youth were interviewed. The sample includes 512 households randomly chosen and representative of the Kosirai Division, 250 households in which there was at least one HIV-positive patient who receives free HIV care at the Mosoriot Rural Health Training Centre (MRHTC), and 61 households in which one member had visited the voluntary counseling and testing (VCT) clinic at the MRHTC.
