Summary
The Qatar Household Expenditure and Income Survey 2012-2013 was conducted to gather information on the distribution of expenditure for all residents of Qatar as well as to collect data on the main sociodemographic indicators.
The survey used a two-stage sample design and constructed separate area frames for households of nationals and non-nationals. Data collection was conducted over a period of 12 months to best determine long-term household patterns. Each household recorded expenditure and consumption details in a notebook and was also visited by an enumerator.
Out of a sample of 3,816 households, a total of 3,723 were successfully interviewed.
