Summary
The Romania National Nutrition Survey 1991 collected data to ascertain the nutritional status of children under the age of 5 in the country. The survey questionnaire covered demographic characteristics and identification of the child, family composition, the family's income and educational status, infant feeding, and reproductive knowledge and practices. After the completion of the questionnaire, the child's health and weight were measured. A total sample of 10,957 children below 60 months of age from 21 districts participated in the survey. 43% of the sample were tested for iron deficiency anemia.
