Summary
The 2008 National Health Services Survey (NHSS) evaluated the health needs of urban and rural residents, and the availability and utilization of health services and insurance programs. The survey covered 177,501 people in 56,456 households in all of the country's 31 provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities. Household interviews were administered by local medical workers under supervision from doctors. The survey achieved an in-person adult response rate of 83%.
