Summary
This second Senegalese national household survey (ESAM-II) sampled 6,600 households across urban and rural areas. Several questionnaires were used to collect information on housing conditions, employment, household expenditures, food expenditures and consumption, as well as a Core Welfare Indicators Questionnaire (CWIQ) survey module. The food consumption module includes weighing of food that is consumed by children under 2 and the household.
The first Senegalese household survey took place in 1994-1995.
