Summary
The Tanzania census for the 2010 census round was carried out on August 26, 2012. It was the fifth census since 1964. The survey covered a variety of household and individual characteristics, including parental survival, houshold deaths, maternal deaths, and birth histories.
A pilot census was conducted in 2011 with 5,000 households.
