Summary
This dataset is representative of all birth certificates received by the Ministry of Health for 2010. Variables included in the microdata are: sex of child, birth order, birth weight, number of surviving children, age of mother, marital status, place of residence, date of birth, place of birth, birth procedure, place of residence, use of vaccines, and observed birth defects or diseases.
The Ministry of Health also offers microdata on registered births from 1985 to the present. In addition, the National Insititute of Statistics, Geography and Informatics (INEGI) provides microdata on birth registration in a different format.
