National Commission for Statistics (Romania)

The Romanian statistical agency was called the Central Directorate of Statistics from 1951-1989. From 1989-1998 it held the title National Commission for Statistics. The name changed again in 1998 to National Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies and to National Institute of Statistics in 2001.
