The purpose of this survey is to gather information on households throughout Afghanistan, including households of the nomadic Kuchi people. The data were collected in order to produce national and provincial level indicators.

The data were collected through face-to-face interviews. Men and women were interviewed separately with different questionnaires. The main topic areas were household characteristics, agriculture, income, expenditures, migration, coping strategies, food security, reproductive history, access to services, and community projects. Labor, including child labor, was also added as a new topic area for this survey.

The survey covered 20,786 households and 157,262 individuals.

Tue, 09 Aug 2022 15:19:56 -0700 GHDx 238336 at https://ghdx.healthdata.org
